Amphitheater
The Lauridsen Amphitheater and Killinger Family Stage at Water Works Park are unique outdoor venues. The amphitheater’s two-way design allows for optional event configurations based on the size of the audience.
Lauridsen Amphitheater
The Lauridsen Amphitheater faces north and engages the large Innovation Field (presented by Delta Velocity). The field’s size and design allow for events ranging from 2,000 – 25,000 participants.
Killinger Family Stage
The Killinger Family Stage is the south-facing portion of the amphitheater. It engages the Hubbell Celebration Lawn, a more intimate setting for crowds of less than 2,000.
The venue sits in the east portion of one of the largest urban parks in the country. At 1,500 acres, Water Works Park is almost twice the size of New York’s Central Park. The unique and diverse outdoor setting lies near the confluence of two rivers. It features over 200 bird species, diverse flora and fauna, and numerous biking, hiking, and equestrian trails. It is the home of a world-renowned ornamental crabapple arboretum and serves as the primary source of drinking water for over 500,000 central Iowans.
