Earth Day In The Park

Celebrate Earth Day In The Park with a fun, family-friendly morning of nature and environmental learning!

🌿 Event Highlights
• Interactive Activities: Attendees can participate in recreation activities, including the Scheels Outdoor Adventure Series, Des Moines Water Works tours of the Arie den Boer Arboretum and Thomas & Linda Koehn Foundation Gardens, the Reichardt Family Natural Play Area, and more.

• Des Moines Water Works staff will host a celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Arie den Boer Arboretum. DMWW staff will provide grafting demonstrations at 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. and tours of the arboretum at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

• DMWW Park Foundation will have vendors in the Park under the Des Moines Biergarten tree canopy space, including food trucks and a virtual passport that Earth Day In the Park attendees can turn in for a chance to win prizes.
